antique colonial dresser with bevelled mirror,little top drawers in BANGO, New South Wales for sale
This old colonial dressing table has been in the family for a couple of generations already (and I'm 50!)....and still has many years of beautiful display and use to go....But I must downsize, and so it is offered here to see if anyone else might appreciate and enjoy this bygone era piece...
Measurements - 1100w x 550d x 770h to dresser top and 1630h to top of bevelled mirror.
Actual mirror glass is 600 x 450.
It has all its original handles and all four original castors on the legs. It has dovetailed drawers, of which there is 1 long one with 2 split above in dresser base, and two smaller ones up top near mirror for make up or jewellery. It has five neat shelves for displaying beutyware.
The top unscrews from the base for moving etc. and the mirror can detach from its swinging frame, so you can adjust it for the height of the person looking into it, and remove it altogether for safe moving.
The mirror has a bit of scraping, chipping of silver off back, bevell isin great shape. There is a huge split along the centre of the top of the dresser, from one end to other, where timbers were joined...always been that way and hasn't got any worse or become rickety..I have just always had a centre piece and it has never been noticed. See photos they form part of description, I have tried to describe it as I see it. This item is aged and its beautiy lies therein so it is only to be expected it has the odd mark and scratch...However I firmly believe that a rub with marveer and this will shine like new.
